We're chuggin' away working on our latest playground project. We'll share more pictures once it's done and delivered to the client. For now, we'll depart with this tease.

The guys just returned from Albuquerque, NM where we upgraded an old shooting gallery that was boring and not very exciting to play. We added facades, animated heckling characters, egg-laying chickens, dancing ducks, fly-up cans, and all sorts of rusty junk items. It turned out great and should be a hit once the park opens.

We just installed an interactive mine themed shooting gallery in Old Sacramento, CA. A heckling fox, hilarious crow, and egg laying chickens are all part of the hillbilly mine scene. Rusted ore carts, a collapsed mine shaft, and dancing cow skulls add to the fun. If you're ever in the area, stop by and take a shot!

Johnny, one of the owner's of Daniels Wood Land, is a master chainsaw carving artist. In August 2009, he created this cartoon shark carving for a customer near San Diego who had ordered a Deluxe Scallywag Sloop. Rather than the traditional crate and barrel stack supporting the bow, they upgraded to a one-of-a-kind carving. The shark is leaping out of the water and is just about to take a huge bite out of the bow. It took Johnny 3 - 4 days from start to finish this amazing piece.

We just installed this custom Deluxe Scallywag Sloop at the KOA Cape Hatteras in Rodanthe, NC. It features a real oversized log, ship's bow, oversized clubhouse, balcony, deck, and a staircase with landing. Lots of pirate theming and a spiral slide add to the fun. If you make it to the Outer Banks, stop in and check it out.

We created this rock feature out of foam. It shows a mother licking her cub on the back and a male lion on the front. The foam will be covered in sculpted concrete and the piece will be placed next to a customer's pool.

Our crew finally returned from 6 long weeks in Croatia. They worked incredibly hard and transformed a boring venue into an amazingly realistic pirate ship wreck. They custom fabricated a majority of the theming elements and created this spectacular piece. We're happy to have the crew back in the States and appreciative of how hard they worked. Welcome home boys!

We are just kids at heart, Ron decided to test out the strength of our little goat by taking it for a quick ride.

This goat has no structural support and was handily able to support Ron for quite a while. We are continually surprised at the strength of our foam creations.

We have added a number of projects to the website.

The Barbary Corsair: a pirate ship façade for an athletic center in San Diego who had a child play area that lacked imagination. Utilizing our years of pirate theming expertise, we designed and built this small façade entirely out of Styrofoam.

McDermont Field House: Located near the entrance of Sequoia National Park, McDermont Field House is the site of our largest theming project to date. Positioned against the north wall of the facility is an enormous, 60' tall faux sequoia tree.

Mona Vie Bottle: To help promote their product, DWL was hired to recreate their new bottle design. We were provided a sample which we took our measurements to scale up the product.

Last month we exhibited at the WFA Convention in Reno, NV. Using one of our whimsical tree houses, we added a barnyard inspired shooting gallery, complete with flying cans and heckling critters. The convention was a great way to introduce ourselves to fair organizers.

We wanted to share this which shows just how immense the giant sequoia logs are. This picture shows our log hollower with the 7ft chain saw getting ready to hollow the log. It will take him a couple days of hard work to get the job done.
