In 2005 The Big Fresno Fair was looking for a way to increase attendance and decided that a giant fort play structure was just the thing. We designed, built, and installed this playground which is made entirely of cedar and redwood logs. Four old growth redwood logs were salvaged from Northern California and are estimated to be between 800 - 2,000 years old. On top of each log is a turret connected by walkways which were constructed from cedar poles trucked in from Eastern Texas specifically for this project. The fort also features 3 huge spiral slides, a giant swing bridge, elevated decks and walkways, and 4 hand-carved cowboy and Indians. Decorative elements and fort theming complete this spectacular scene.
