Fresno Fairgrounds needed to hide their boring looking administration building. In 2007 we designed and built this quaint little fishing village scene. However, unlike most facades which just look nice, this one is uniquely interactive in that kids can fish for real catfish! A whimsical looking bait shack rents poles with barbless hooks so children can enjoy the fun of reeling in the catch of the day. Of course, all the catfish are returned to the pond for the next little fisherman. For the fair, this interactiveness, as well as selling sponsorship signs, is a great way to earn some additional revenue.
