With a summer 2008 release scheduled, we were hired to build a display for the New Line Cinema film Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D. Constructed using EPS foam, wood, and aluminum the display was built to be extremely portable. Individual rock pieces could be easily positioned into place allowing for simple insertion of the giant mushrooms, crystals, and Venus fly traps. A themed bridge would allow people to walk across and peer into a large hole representing the center of the earth. Unfortunately, due to the Warner acquisition of New Line Cinema, this display was never used.
